Become a Sullivan County Youth Fair Sponsor! Each year the 4-H Program asks for local businesses to help support our youth and become sponsors of the Sullivan County Youth Fair. Sponsors help to purchase prizes and awards for the youth at the fair. Sponsorships range between $250, $125, $75, to $50 and $25. If you would like to become a sponsor, please fill out Fair Sponsorship Form and return to the Cornell Cooperative Extension office before July 15th. FMI: 845-292-6180.

Sew-cial Circle aka Needles Crafts Group at the Jeffersonville Branch of the Western Sullivan Public Library every Thursday from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Join fellow needleworkers to talk through and share projects you are working on. The group is open to cross stitchers, embroidery fanatics, and needlepoint lovers. Basic supplies are provided but they welcome you to bring your own. Call 845-482-4350 with any questions.

Barbara from “Barbara’s Bunch” is busy again! Now featuring the “American Pride” trip featuring Gettysburg, Virginia Tattoo, Williamsburg and Washington DC for 6 days- April 20-25, 2024. The trip focuses on American Pride and honoring generations of American Heroes. You start in Gettysburg with a Battlefield tour and monuments dedicated to the soldiers who fought there. Then head to Norfolk, VA for the Pomp and Circumstance of a Military Tattoo, plus warbirds and battleships. Enjoy a stop in Colonial Williamsburg before ending up in Washington DC. Then you visit the National Museum of the Marine Corps, Arlington National Cemetery, and tour Monument & Memorials including those that honor servicemen who served “in the air, on land, and sea.” Per Person Prices: $2,395 Double occupancy, $2,295 Triple, $2,195 Quad, and $2,995 Single. A Veteran’s Discount $50 per person. (cost includes five nights of first-class lodging, five breakfasts, three lunches and three dinners, all taxes and gratuities on these services, motorcoach transportation and more) A $150 per person deposit is due at signup with the  final payment due March 14, 2024. The Jeff Jamboree is coming to town on Saturday, September 16th with lots of fun for the entire family! The JEMS beautification group sponsors a large part of this day including free carriage rides with Butch and his beautiful team of draft horses. This year they are looking for people to participate in a Flea Market to be set up in the parking lot on Main Street across from the Jeffersonville Post Office. Vendors selling their homemade, handmade, and special items are invited too! No fees and a great chance to be a part of a fun-filled day.
