Congratulations to John Hauschild from the Jeffersonville Fire Department for receiving the Sullivan County Volunteer Firefighters’ Association Lifetime Achievement Award for continuous dedication to the volunteer fire service of Sullivan County, the Volunteer Firefighters Association and the Jeffersonville Fire Department!

The Kenoza Lake Fire Department is hosting their Annual Roast Beef Dinner on Saturday, October 12th from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Delicious roast beef, real mashed potatoes, their own gravy, along with everything else! Takeouts ONLY this year with tickets at the door and your takeout dinner can be picked up downstairs. Cost of dinners are $18. 

The Jeffersonville Fire Department Annual Roast Beef Dinner & Dance is Saturday, October 19th from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. with the dance beginning at 8 p.m. featuring live music with “The Other Band”. You can dine in or takeout! Takeout and sit-down dinners include the dance and will cost $20 per dinner, children 5 and under are free and a $5 entry fee for just the dance. Enjoy a fun night out with family and friends while you support your local volunteer Fire Department! 

 The Youngsville Fire Department is hosting their 1st Annual Chicken BBQ on Saturday, November 2nd from 4 p.m. until sold out. Take out only at the firehouse (located at 1822 Shandelee Road, Youngsville) with dinners $15 each. Come out and support your volunteers and enjoy a delicious dinner too! I just posted three amazing volunteer Fire Department dinners. Please support each of them – they are volunteers that go out on calls 24/7 to take care of all of us. Come out and show them you care.

Mark your calendars for a “Taco About Fundraiser” at “Lorenzos Bistro” (located at 5004 State Rte. 52, Jeffersonville) on Thursday, October 24th from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.  Lorenzos is doing this fundraiser to support our local youth football team, the Red Dogs! Delicious beef taco meat, quesadillas, rice & beans, hard or soft shells and the fixings for $15.95. You can dine in or takeout . The Jeffersonville branch of the Western Sullivan Public Library is offering “Felted Vases for Adults” on Tuesday, October 22nd at 5 p.m. Join Buck Brook Alpacas for a fun Fall felting activity! You will be making felted vases by using felted needles. Recommended for age 18 +. Please register as space is limited. Email wsplprograms@rcls.org with any questions.
