Joan W. Huebner, a lifelong resident of the area, passed away on Sunday, February 7, 2021 at her home in Monticello surrounded by her loving family. She was 85. She was a retired registered nurse and USPS postmaster at Harris, New York.

The daughter of the late Walter Woytera and Helen Stoyaanski Woytera, she was born May 12, 1935 in Honesdale, PA.

Joan was active in the community for many years before Lupus interrupted her life. She served as past president of the Sullivan County Historical Society, Sullivan County League of Post Masters and the Liberty Garden Club. She was a member of St. Peter's Rosary Society and St. Peter's Choir of Monticello. She was very proud of her family and did not hesitate to correct or commend.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years: Robert H. Huebner, at home; three sons: Robert Huebner and his wife Tracey of Wallingford, CT, Thomas Huebner and his wife Christine of Plattsburgh, and Gary Huebner and his wife Doreen of Monticello; eight grandchildren; Erik, Ryan, Alea, Caitlin, Wade, Morgan, Daniel and Brooke, a brother: Joseph Woytera and his wife Ann of Beach Lake, PA; two sisters: Marion Eileen Semonick of Middletown and Mary Lucille Crellin of Milford, PA; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a son, Daniel; and a brother Jeffrey.

A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family and memorial contributions can be made to Saint Peter's Church, 10 Liberty Street, Monticello, NY, 12701.
