With deepest sorrow we announce that Joseph Anthony Ducey (Joey) age 19, our most beloved son, brother, family member, and friend passed suddenly on Saturday, January 9, 2021.

Joey was born on July 8, 2001 at 4:57am in Honesdale, PA. He attended Sullivan West Elementary School and Honesdale High School. Joey enjoyed Martial Arts, working out, learning how to cook, exploring spirituality, video games, giving everyone weird nicknames, and speaking in languages only Greta (his girlfriend) could understand.

He is survived by his loving mother, Annie Ducey Garnish, stepfather Matthew Garnish, devoted sister Ava Garnish and sweet girlfriend, Greta Hauschild.

He also leaves behind his Maternal Grandfather, Michael Ducey, Uncles Tom, Kevin and John Ducey, Aunt Jen Ducey, Cousins Brian, Sarah, Zachary, and Emily Ducey.

Joey will be missed every day by his Father Jason Lines, Paternal Grandparents Terry and Ann Lines, Paternal Great-Grandmother Charlotte Kolash, and Aunt Laura and Uncle Scott Lines and Cousin Mya Jones

Joey was thoroughly embraced by the entire Garnish family including DeLories (Nonnie) Garnish, Terese and husband Tom Holzthum, and Mary and her husband Alan Bauman.

The devastating sadness we feel from his passing is only eased a bit by the knowledge that he shares eternal rest with his beloved maternal grandmother, Robin Ducey. We also know Joey is now with Uncle Tom Garnish, Paul (Grandpa) Garnish, Uncle Tom Dawes and Great Grandma Nancy (Minah) Dawes.
