Ken Lohmeyer, 72, passed away Thursday, October 19, 2023 in Albany, NY with his twin sister not far from his side. He was known for his gentle, kind, giving soul who made the world a better place for those who knew him. Throughout his life he left a lasting impression on those who were fortunate enough to be his friend.   

After graduating Monticello High School Ken went on to work with standardbred horses and after many years returned to Mongaup Valley to pursue a profession of interior and exterior painting.

He is predeceased by his parents Caroline and Edward Lohmeyer as well as his brother Jeffrey Lohmeyer. He was, and will remain, the beloved brother to Edward and Judith Lohmeyer.  Ken was blessed to have been loved by his nephews Charlie Lohmeyer, Jeffrey Lohmeyer Jr., Chad LeComb and his niece Bethany Lohmeyer Sciortino.  He was also fortunate to have had a bountiful of cousins who loved him but no more so than his cousin Richard Manzi who made his world a brighter place.  

His family invites you to the Mass of Christian Burial which will be Celebrated on Saturday, November 11, 2023 at 10:30 AM at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Gale Road, Mongaup Valley, NY; Father Robert Porpora will officiate.

Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery, Bethel, NY.
