LOCH SHELDRAKE — With the post season on the horizon, the SUNY Sullivan Generals Women faced off against SUNY Ulster on Thursday, February 8. The 19-4 Lady Generals got ahead early and cruised to an 81-43 victory.

The Lady Generals, coached by Ben Newberg, were led to victory by Brianna Jackson with 21 points, including three 3-pointers, seven assists and two steals. Jackson was accompanied by Brieanna Maple and Shonyae Edmonds who netted 17 and 14 for Sullivan.

Coach Newberg had nothing but great things to say after the 38-point win.

“I am very happy with our team’s play as of late. We had a few pauses through the winter break, which hurt our chemistry, but we are back to playing great basketball at 19-4. As coaches, we try to find our team’s identity. I think this group’s identity is unselfish offense and tough, hard-nosed defense. Our ball movement is contagious and it has been really fun to coach and watch.”
