SULLIVAN COUNTY — On Saturday, September 18th, 2021 the Village of Liberty Police Department arrested David Ward, 58 of Liberty, NY after an investigation into a residential burglary. Police were initially called to the home of a village resident on North Main Street in the Village of Liberty on September 12 for a report of a burglary to the residence.

Subsequent investigation revealed that an individual had entered the home and stolen jewelry and cash. Further investigation resulted in locating and arresting Ward on September 18. Ward was charged with burglary in the 2nd degree, a felony and petit larceny a misdemeanor. Ward was arraigned in the Town of Liberty Court and remanded to Sullivan County Jail without bail.
