Livingston Manor defeats Middletown in season opener

MIDDLETOWN — The Lady Wildcats were ready for the beginning of the season after traveling to Middletown on Thursday for their opening game against the Middies. Livingston Manor took a 4-0 win in the contest, and will look to comtinue that success this season.

Rebecca Gashinsky paced the LM offense, scoring the first three goals of the contest. Kelsey Ryder knocked in the final goal with 18:03 to play in the second half.

The Lady Wildcats were all over the ball on offense, out-shooting Middletown 20-2 in the game. Livingston Manor controlled the pace and forced the Middie’s defense to work all morning.

The Lady Wildcats will continue their season this evening as they take on Delaware Academy at Downsville Central School at 7 p.m.
