LIVINGSTON MANOR – Pedestrians and motorists may have found a detour sign at the head of the historic covered bridge in Livingston Manor recently. The bridge, iconic symbol of Livingston Manor history and culture, has been under renovation for about two weeks so far. According to crew chief Jeff Mueller, the last time major renovation was done on the bridge was “quite some time ago–probably in the 80’s.” 

“There have been little fixes more recently, but nothing as big as this,” he commented. 

The work is expected to be completed in the next week or two, and will be open again for normal use.
