Mary Catherine Hessinger of Callicoon Center, NY, a long time area resident, died Saturday, September 10, 2022 at the Roscoe Regional Rehab. and Residential Health Care Facility, Roscoe, NY.  She was 89.  

The daughter of the late Eugene M. and Catherine Coyne O’Connor, she was born March 23, 1933 in Buffalo, NY. 

Mary Catherine was a communicant of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Obernburg, NY; she was a member of the Callicoon Center Ladies Auxiliary; she had worked as a bookkeeper for Hillside Greenhouses; and she volunteered as a Foster Grandparent at Sullivan West Kindergarten Classes. 

Survivors include her daughters, Anne Brewer and her husband Greg of Parsons, KS, Lori Benefiel of Orlando, FL and Michele Brockner and her husband Gary of Callicoon Center, NY; her grandchildren, Isaac Brewer and his wife Penny, Mallory Revell and her husband Brent, Allison Brewer and her fiancé Hunter Horsley, Elliott Brewer, Megan Brockner, and Caitlin Brockner; and two great grandsons, Owen and Caleb Revell.

She was predeceased by two sisters, Dorothy Vogel and Eugenia Leonard, and her former husband Valentine Hessinger.

Visitation will be Friday, September 16, 2022 from 5 to 8 PM in the Harris Funeral Home, Railroad Ave. Roscoe, NY.  Family and friends with gather to pray the Rosary at 7:30 PM in the funeral home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, September 17, 2022 at 11 AM at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Obernburg, NY.  Father Antony David will officiate.

Burial will be in the Callicoon Center Cemetery, Callicoon Center, NY.
