Mrs. Caroline “Carol” J. Roosevelt of Mongaup Valley, NY died Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at Delaware Valley Skilled Nursing And Rehabilitation Center. She was 76.
She was born September 9, 1945 in Whitney Point, NY, the daughter of the late George and Emma Roach.
Carol was married to Dale Roosevelt for 52 loving years before his passing on August 22, 2017.
A loving mother, grandmother, dear friend, dedicated teacher, and childcare provider for 25 plus years, she was known as Nana or Mrs. R to many, and will be deeply missed.
Survived by son George Roosevelt and wife Sadie, daughter Rhonda Roosevelt, granddaughters Tiffany Roosevelt and Amelia Roosevelt, sister Nancy Stalker and wife Vicki Brandli, brother Charles Roach, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Carol is predeceased by her siblings, Harold Roach and Betty Gage, and brother-in-law Dean Roosevelt.
A graveside memorial service will take place on July 23 at 10:30 am in the Mongaup Valley Union Cemetery, Starlight Rd, Monticello, NY. A private gathering with family and friends will follow.
Cremation was held at MacLennan Hall Crematorium, Milford, PA.
