Loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and homemaker

On January 25th, Nancy Ellen Tyler was called to the Lord after a 10 year battle with Supra Nuclear Palsy. She was 74. Nancy will always be remembered as an angel from above by her beloved family.

Survivors include David Tyler, her husband for 56 years, her daughter Tina Mapes and her fiancé Paul from Conway, South Carolina; her daughter Wendy Julkerski and her husband Bret of Narrowsburg, NY; her sister Violet Kortright and her husband Sherm of Neversink, NY; her sister Edith Blackwell and her husband Pat of Ocala, Florida; her grandchildren; Justin Mapes, Austin Julkerski, Kyle Julkerski and Sara Mapes who she adored. She also had several nieces and nephews from afar. She was predeceased by her mother, Anna Furman and father, Harrison Furman of Woodbourne, NY and 5 sisters; Mabel Croisetiere; Emma Bailey; Laura Knapp; Janet DeGraw; and Doris Jean Furman.

Nancy will always be remembered by her family as the perfect wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, homemaker, as well as a caregiver as she babysat many children in her younger years who still called her Nanny. May the Lord call her home with open arms. She is now one of the Lords Angels and will never be forgotten.

Family and friends are invited to gather from 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at the Harrison Rasmussen Funeral Home, 3412 NY-97, Barryville, NY. There will be a small funeral service beginning at 4:00p.m. at the funeral home after calling hours.

Due to the current health crisis, social distancing guidelines must be met - a limited number of people at one time will be allowed in the funeral home, and facemasks are required.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to The Parkinson's Foundation.

Arrangements are by the Harrison Rasmussen Funeral Home 845-557-8010.
