HURLEYVILLE — With a guitar in his hand and a song in his heart, local singer and songwriter Shane Rennison of Grahamsville started off to chase the ambitious musician’s dream in 2022. In another milestone toward that vision, the 26-year old hosted a double-premiere for two music videos – ‘Irrational’ and ‘Long Road.’

The watch party was held in the theater at the Hurleyville Performing Arts Centre (HPAC) last Thursday, all in anticipation of his upcoming four-track live album titled ‘Live at the Outlier Inn 2’ on October 25.

The producer behind the music videos is local photographer and videographer, Brandon Warden. As a nod to the hometown roots, Rennison noted that a portion of the footage for ‘Long Road’ was shot within the walls of the Daniel Pierce Library in Neversink.

“There had been so much prep and planning beforehand that I was confident and ready to just experience the moment,” Rennison said. “I felt so strongly that Brandon and I really created something special and I wanted to share it with people.”

Even when the ‘Long Road’ leaves the musician exhausted, Rennison attributed his unyielding aspirations towards honing and producing his music to his parents, Melissa and Jim Rennison, who own What’s Poppin’ Kettle Korn.

“My parents are the hardest working people I have ever met,” Rennison said. “I have a really good supporting cast around me.”

In addition to the upcoming project, Rennison already has a solid discography that is readily available on most streaming platforms. His sound is a mixture of lighter instrumentals and elevated, sweeter vocals that enrich the environment, all amplified with earnest lyrics that have you grounded into the earth while simultaneously floating away.
