LIBERTY — After losing the space that once hosted Rocky’s Re-Useables, the non-profit thrift store re- cently found a new place to call home. Now they’ll be able to continue to support Rocky’s Refuge, a local ani- mal shelter.

Virginia Grant, one of the volunteers that helps manage the organization, said she is excited to have the space opened up to them in Rocky’s Re-Useables’ time of need.

The new home of Rocky’s Re-Useables is a garage space in Liberty, which is being donated to the organization by Chris DiBartolo.

“I think it will be great for us. Chris is wonderful and we’re going to fix the place up and be more organized than we are now,” Grant said. “We need that store particularly through the summer.”

The thrift store’s profits di- rectly help the funding of Rocky’s Refuge, allowing the volunteers who help manage the organization to provide for cats, chickens, horses, dogs and many other types of animals in need.

The moving process into the new location, 60 State Street in Liberty, is to be completed within the following weeks.

Even throughout the relocation process, the shelter will be accepting donations of necessary animal care items, especially of premium, quality cat food in which the first ingredient listed must be meat based.

The shelter is also accepting monetary donations to help further fund the maintenance and care of the animals that find themselves in the hands of Rocky’s Refuge volunteers.
