Search for missing ‘bottle and can’ Roscoe man still ongoing

ROSCOE  — The search for Moses Baptiste, who went missing in early September, is still ongoing. Eddie Doran, Baptiste’s former landlord, remains increasingly concerned.

Trooper Jennifer Alvarez of Troop F in Middletown confirmed that the search is continuing, with the utilization of police canines as a primary tool.

“They’re still looking,” Trooper Alvarez told the Democrat. “The investigation is still going on.”

Doran stated that there are still trucks at Baptise’s apartment and everything remains untouched from when he disappeared.

Baptiste, a 6’3” African American man of about 250 pounds, is lovingly known as “the bottle and can guy” in Roscoe and Livingston Manor.

According to his former landlord, his disappearance is especially odd considering his well-respected imagewithin the Roscoe and Livingston Manor Community.

“It’s really a shame that he has been missing for so long,” said Doran.
