KIAMESHA LAKE — At their first ever public meeting as a full-fledged village within Sullivan County on Sunday, February 2, the Village of Ateres settled on a date to hold Village Elections, resolving that the Village Elections will be held on March 18 at the Village Hall situated at 4656 Route 42 at Kiamesha Lake.

The timing of these elections will be from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Also on the agenda was an introductory Local Law to extend the requirements for the Treasurer and Village Clerk to include residency within the village. The Local Law also states that the appointees and deputies to the positions shall be residents of Sullivan, Orange or Rockland counties.
