NORTH AMERICA -— A total solar eclipse will occur on April 8, which will cross over North America and pass over Mexico, the United States and Canada.
For Sullivan County, the eclipse will be a partial covering. The totality path is expected to enter the southwestern area of New York at or around 3:15 p.m. It will exit northern New York just before 3:30.
Experts remind viewers of the astronomical spectacle to wear protective eyeglasses.
