The Healthiest Fire Department Challenge has reached new heights! Monticello is blazing ahead with 592 points, while Roscoe-Rockland Fire Department is holding strong in second place with 539 points. Kauneonga Lake is making its mark in third with 378 points.

As the competition heats up, departments are getting creative with their challenges. We’re seeing departments earn points for everything from dodgeball games and golf tournaments to litter clean-ups, weekly walks and healthy snack efforts. With just over a month left in the challenge, mark your calendar for the Sullivan County Volunteer Association Parade in Livingston Manor on September 7th to celebrate the hard work and dedication of all the departments this year!
