Posted

BETHEL —  Sullivan BOCES, in partnership with Bethel Woods Center for the Arts, proudly presented the Pk-12 Visual Art Show at the Events Gallery at Bethel Woods. This year’s exhibition showcased the work of students from the county’s eight school districts, as well as student work from Sullivan BOCES.

The show was open to the public from April 12 through April 14. Bethel Woods also offered free museum admission to students attending the Arts Show throughout the weekend.

Featuring 810 pieces of artwork across ten media categories, including Ceramics & Glass, Digital Art, Design, Black & White Drawing, Color Drawing, Mixed Media, Painting, Black & White Photography, Color Photography, Film & Animation and Sculpture, the exhibition captured the diverse talents of young artists.

The middle and high school artwork was adjudicated by local artist for Artist Choice Awards. Additionally, students visiting the show adjudicated the artwork to award Student’s Choice Awards. As a result, the following list, grouped by media category, indicates the artwork that received an Artist and Student Choice Award.

The Sullivan County Pk-12 Visual Art Show is among the many programs offered through the Arts In Education Program at Sullivan BOCES. Dedicated to raising visual and aesthetic literacy standards, while strengthening and supporting learning across all curriculum areas, the Arts In Education Program fosters arts and arts-integrated learning experiences for K-12 students and teachers.
