Damascus Township held a ribbon cutting ceremony for its Phase 1 Park Project on Monday, August 14. The project was made possible through grants awarded by the Department of Community and Economic Development, Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, and Upper Delaware Council.

Dan Rutledge, Parks and Recreation Chairman, thanked all the funding sources and supporters to make this project a great success with a total value of $570,000.00.

The park is located at 60 Conklin Hill Road, Damascus, PA 18415 and is open to the public from dawn to dusk.

The Parks and Recreation Committee will be holding a community grand opening this fall at a date and time to be announced.
