MAMAKATING – On the morning of December 26 at approximately 10:30 a.m., Sullivan County 911 dispatched law enforcement to a reported shooting at 10 Sunset Point, Yankee Lake, in the town of Mamakating.

When New York State Troopers arrived, they discovered 65-year-old Thomas K. Fusco of Wurtsboro deceased inside the residence from a gunshot wound. 

Following this, authorities launched a homicide investigation in collaboration with the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office and the Sullivan County District Attorney’s Office.

The investigation led officers to a neighboring residence, where they executed a search warrant. Inside, officers found two additional victims: 69-year-old Maryann Daloia of Wurtsboro, who was also deceased from a gunshot wound, and 72-year-old Richard Daloia of Wurtsboro, who was discovered with what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Both individuals were pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities believe the incident may have been a murder-suicide, with the investigation still ongoing. State Police were assisted at the scene by the Department of Environmental Conservation Police.
