GRAHAMSVILLE – The Bears went to the Suffern Invitational at Bear Mountain State Park on September 17 and finished in second place as a team. Adam Furman led the way, leading all runners with a 15:28, the fastest time of the day. Behind him, 4. Van Furman 16:04; 8. Craig Costa 16:35; 31. Vincent Mingo 17:39; 52. Connor Weyant 18:58; 69. Thomas Houghtaling 19:48; 73. Dayne Wall 19:58; 96. Noah Edwards 21:43.

The girls team placed 19th at the invitational. Anna Furman, an eighth grader, finished second overall at 19:09. Following her, 49. Brynn Poley 22:25; 104. Lily Sicilano 25:06; 132. Chrissy Wachter 27:38; 144. Tabitha Mulholland 33:38.

Tri-Valley hosted a tri-match with Sullivan West and Fallsburg on Tuesday as well. Though Adam Furman did not run, the Tri-Valley boys defeated both Fallsburg (15-48) and Sullivan West (17-46). Fallsburg boys defeated Sullivan West (32-36).

Fallsburg’s girls defeated both Sullivan West and Tri-Valley 15-50 because neither school had a full team. Due to this, Tri-Valley and Sullivan West girls were unscored in the meet.
