BRONX - The Tri-Valley cross country team is a team you want to keep an eye on. With recognized top ranked runners by Tully Runners in brother and sister duo Van and Anna Furman and other key returning runners like Boe Mueller and Wyatt Morton on the boys squad and Em RicharDson on the girls, this team has been on the run, so to speak all season.
At the Manhattan College Invitational this past Sunday both Anna and Van would bring home spots in the top 3, winning first and third place respectively. Coach Skyler Musa says: “We are excited with how the kids have raced the past two weekends and are looking forward to sending as many athletes as possible to the state meet. We feel strongly that the boys could win the Section 9 title, and the girls will face up against Mount Academy so we will be looking to send as many individuals from the girls team as possible.”
You can cheer on your Tri-Valley Bears at the cross country championships on Saturday, October 26 at Sanfordville High School in Warwick.
