Sullivan County, NY: Looking to join a book club?  Check out the groups at Western Sullivan Public Library in October.

The Jeffersonville Book Club will meet Friday, October 11th at 4pm at the Jeffersonville Branch to discuss The Warm Hands of Ghosts by Katherine Arden. “A spectacular tour de force by one of my favorite authors, so wonderful and deep and haunting that you might well imagine it required a Faustian bargain of its own—I love this book so much and want everyone to read it!”—Naomi Novik, author of A Deadly Education

The Callicoon Book Club will meet Tuesday, October 15th at 5pm at the Delaware Free Branch. We will discuss Normal People by Sally Rooney. “[Rooney] has invented a sensibility entirely of her own: sunny and sharp, free of artifice but overflowing with wisdom and intensity… The novel touches on class, politics, and power dynamics and brims with the sparky, witty conversation that Rooney’s fans will recognize.”—Vogue

The Narrowsburg Book Club meets Wednesday, October 23rd at 11am at the Tusten-Cochecton Branch in Narrowsburg to discuss Crow Talk by Eileen Garvin. “The dance of characters is intricate and measured in this fine novel... This is a book where the resolution is so satisfying, so organic, so right. And the reader, satisfied on a very deep level, comes away replete with crow lore and Irish music and a true exploration of the strange, convoluted, essential journey of the human heart.” —Oregon Arts Watch
