The following are TV commercials that I find annoying because they are outrageously inaccurate. When my developmentally disabled son Jimmy was young and he saw a commercial about a product he liked and wanted me to buy,  he would say that they wouldn’t say it was good, if it wasn’t. But even Jimmy finally realized that you couldn’t believe everything that was said in commercials.

The one that bothers me the most is the one for Gardiance which is for the treatment of type two diabetes. Many people are addicted to food which I believe is one of the hardest to overcome. You cannot keep away from food as you can if you are addicted to alcohol or drugs. The girl in the Gardiance commercial is slightly chubby, which is not good if you are diabetic. Yet she is shown dancing, singing and prancing around with glee with the message that she has overcome her condition with Gardiance. Not all people who are overweight should go on a diet if they don’t believe it is necessary, but I believe that with the proper diet for her type 2 diabetes, she wouldn’t need the Gardiance.

Another TV commercial that bothers me is the one that says “When doctors don’t follow procedures with babies to prevent disabilities, we will hold them accountable. Why? So it doesn’t happen to you.” I don’t believe that to be true. I think the reason they hold doctors accountable is so that the doctors pay for their mistakes financially but not to the ones who have babies with disabilities.

Other TV commercials that annoy me are the ones that state that there is now a new improved product on the market even though in the past, it was stated that there was no product that could be better than the one being offered.

There are some TV commercials that I even admire. I may write about them in the future but then again, I may not.
