NARROWSBURG – The Upper Delaware Council (UDC) will host a public presentation, “Archtop/Sullivan County Municipal Infrastructure Program Overview & Project Construction Update”, on Thursday, November 5, at 6:30 p.m., at the UDC’s Narrowsburg, NY office and available by Zoom.
Appearing will be Archtop Fiber Founder and Chief Development Officer Shawn Beqaj and Sullivan County Information Technology Services Commissioner Lorne Green.
Archtop Fiber and Sullivan County have partnered on a $30 million project funded by New York State’s ConnectALL program to bring high-speed internet to more than 22,000 unserved and underserved homes and businesses across the county.
The Kingston, NY-based company broke ground in June 2025 to install 253 miles of underground fiber conduit in what is Sullivan County’s single largest broadband investment.
The project will also utilize 11 existing county emergency communications towers for fixed wireless access in hard-to-reach, mountainous terrain.
Residents and business owners can check address availability, view construction maps, and sign up for updates directly on the Connect Sullivan portal via www.connectsullivan.com.
Sullivan County will own the infrastructure while Archtop Fiber LLC will serve as internet service provider.
The UDC’s monthly business meeting to follow the approximately 30-minute presentation will include reports from the Delaware River Basin Commission, New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, National Park Service, and UDC Executive Director; discussion of old and new business; and public comments.
All UDC meetings held at 211 Bridge St. in Narrowsburg, NY are open to the public.
To request the Zoom link for remote participation, email info@upperdelawarecouncil.org or call 845-252-3022.
