Villa Roma kicks off Catskills Festival with promo in Manhattan

MANHATTAN – “I believe a lot of life is outside New York City. I want to show there is a community outside the city in the upstate area. I hope to make the Villa Roma an entertainment destination [for New Yorkers] and also support local talent that doesn’t get the opportunity for city exposure,” said Sandeep Wadwa, the new Owner and Chairman of the Villa Roma Resort in Callicoon.  “Upstate there are a lot of lovely people and I want to showcase them.

“We hope to give opportunity, confidence and exposure to local people and provide an opportunity for local musicians to play the same events as famous worldwide talent,” Wadwa said.

On Thursday, February 6 Sandeep Wadhwa hosted an event to promote, ‘Live The Music, Love The Art, Catskills Festival’ at DOM Lounge in New York City, located on 278 Park Avenue in the Flatiron neighborhood of NYC.

The event had Gerardo Contino and his band perform to a crowd of nearly 75 attendees. Villa Roma Resort was promoted all over the event, complete with a step-and-repeat sign for folks to take their picture in front of, and take-home brochures for each attendee.

On February 21-22-23 Wadhwa and his team are hosting the Catskill Festival, with 10 musical performers slated to perform over the course of Presidents’ Day Weekend at the Villa Roma in Callicoon.

The event is designed to be a weekend celebration of music, art and activities. The event features a diverse lineup of performers and activities for all ages.

Tickets can be purchased at www.villaroma.com or by calling 800-727-8455.

The events won’t stop at the Villa Roma. Wadhwa plans to continue events such as a Holi Festival, which celebrates Spring, love and new life, a Catskill Jazz Festival, and much more in the future.
