CALLICOON – Last weekend, the Villa Roma Resort and Conference Center in Callicoon turned into the ‘Nashville of the North,’ as they hosted nearly a dozen top musical performers from the Metropolitan area during the three-day music, art and entertainment show called Catskills Festival.
Sullivan County Legislator Cat Scott, who attended Friday night’s performances by Gerardo Catino and his band, said, “Turning Sullivan County into the Nashville of the Catskills is a great idea. I thought the music was fantastic and I am looking forward to another event.”
Villa Roma’s Entertainment Director, Doc Holiday, said, “The new owners want to make the Villa Roma a showplace for all the arts – music, arts and entertainment.
“They also want to invite the whole community to enjoy,” he said.
