SULLIVAN COUNTY – Cozy up for some special programs for families, children, teens and tweens at the Western Sullivan Public Library!

Join our community of caregivers, babies and toddlers for Let’s Play!, a playgroup where you can play, socialize and connect! We will meet on Wednesday, December 18th from 10:15am - 11:30am at the Jeffersonville Branch. This event is very popular, so registration is required! For our older preschoolers, Storytime will take place on  Saturday, December 28th at 1pm at the Delaware Free Branch in Callicoon. Both programs offer a range of activities that include music, literacy, games and open play, and are welcome to all children under 5.

All are welcome to join us at the Delaware Free Branch during Dickens on the Delaware on Saturday, December 14th to decorate Gingerbread Cookies from Be Kind Bakehouse! Decorating starts at 12pm, and will go until 3pm or while supplies last. Registration is not required.

Teens and tweens can join us for Crafterschool on Wednesday, December 4th from 3:00-5:00pm at the Tusten-Cochecton Branch, where they can experiment with crafts and art mediums like jewelry making, crochet, collage and button-making, or draw their own cartoons in Cartooning Club on Wednesday, December 18th from 4:00-6:00pm at the Tusten Town Hall.

Teens interested in audio engineering can take our Audio Production Crash Course with engineer and musician Matt Werden at the Jeffersonville Branch. Part One will cover the basics of Audio Production: key terms, essential tools, and how to navigate software, and will take place on Tuesday, December 3rd from 5:30-7:00pm. Part Two will feature a live recording demonstration, followed by an opportunity for participants to share their own projects and receive live feedback and audio engineering support, and will take place on Tuesday, December 17th from 5:30-7:00pm. Registration required!
