To the editor:
What does it mean to be patriotic? It seems that some Americans have forgotten. Patriotism means that when our country needs us for support, for defense or for public health our people come to the fore and volunteer or allow themselves “to be volunteered” to help out. Hence, millions of American soldiers went overseas to fight for our country and our freedom during World War II at great personal sacrifice from which some never returned.
Why are so many Americans today having such a hard time volunteering to get a vaccination that will save their own lives, the lives of their family members and also the lives of many others? It seems that some people have lost the ability to fight for our country by simply getting a basically painless, probably effective and free shot in the arm. And why? Apparently for some pretty far-fetched, misinformed and thoroughly fake reasons. It’s kind of shocking, pretty selfish, small minded and seriously ignorant. It’s definitely not patriotic.

Talk about seriously ignorant as you said it - 'probably effective' is a major concern plus 'basically painless'.
The side affects showing the vaccine product is in your system varied from standable to outright sickening plus the point that the first shots were supposed to be the only thing needed to find out they lasted maybe 6 months leading to booster shot, 1 for right now more will be coming. The one-time curall into not cureall as told.
It's funny how you strangle volunteerism for the volunteering of being a test subject or Guinee pig at the push from gov't. Given a mandate is not volunteering but a force by

Why are you pushing that people shouldn't have a choice with a non-properly-tested drug?
I guess you are for the killing of babies as volunteering too? Did our people die for that as well? I hope not.
Patriotism is showing love for your country not being a forced test subject for free or for payment.
