Birthday wishes to Jake Herfield, Nicholas Dollard, Blake Herfield, Luke Joseph Toscano, Jacqueline Calka, Josh Sprague, Georgina Scardino, Christine Minaglia, Paul Walsh, Casey Broskin, Antoinette Sorrentino, Rosemarie Romano, Chris Schuster, Ella Blake Alenky-Cohen and Damon Ferrera.                                                                                                                             Happy Anniversary to the Moreys, Moores, Blochs, and Calkas.

We extend our sympathy to the Patel family.                                          In tribute from the Sullivan County community, we extend our condolences to the Cellini and Passante families. Anthony Cellini, longtime Thompson Supervisor, and Marty Passante, owner of the Villa Roma, passed last week. For more meaningful words about these area men, see their recent obituaries.

Bethel departments, meeting links, minutes and newsletter: townofbethelny.us. Check Bethel Parks & Rec on Fb. Use our local parks and Lake Superior State Park (Sullivanny.us).

Development/Water: Follow the flow. Attend meetings. It’s an agenda item that the Town, Planning, and DEC must deal with before we have an issue. Research, tests and facts should lead actions, especially for high-density development.

Meanwhile, residents can conserve personal water use and institute ‘reduce, reuse, recycle’- actions learned in the ‘Save the Environment’ campaigns from long ago.

Follow the Lake Association of White Lake NY (fb). They share facts and keep our lake clean.

Safety: Drive carefully. Caution: school buses, shoulder activity and intersections. Wear a vest when on the water.
