CCE Sullivan’s favorite time of year is back! Visit the Sullivan County Youth Fair!

LIBERTY – Cornell Cooperative Extension Sullivan County invites the public to celebrate all that Sullivan County 4-H youth members, leaders, volunteers, and clubs have accomplished throughout the year at the Sullivan County Youth Fair, taking place from Friday, August 16th through Sunday, August 18th at the Grahamsville Fairgrounds.

From creative still exhibits, to entertaining animal shows and live auctions, there is something for everyone!

The Sullivan County Youth Fair is held annually in conjunction with the Grahamsville Little World’s Fair.

Fairgoers will have the opportunity to walk the Youth Building and two full barns to view more than 1,000 still and animal exhibit projects Sullivan County 4-H youth participants have created and nurtured over the past year.

They’ll also be able to witness various animal showmanship competitions throughout the weekend. There will be a horse show, beef show, swine show, dairy show, and a sheep and goat show!

Fairgoers who attend on Sunday may also participate in the 4-H Livestock & Agricultural Products Live Auction, beginning at 1:00 PM in the Upper Show Ring.

Dozens of volunteers and staff spend many hours pulling together exhibits, factoring scheduling and space options, navigating animal and biosafety issues, coordinating and orienting volunteers and activities for the public, processing local, state, and Ag & Markets paperwork, soliciting donations, training 4-H’ers in preparation for shows, and a number of other tasks to make the Sullivan County Youth Fair a safe, fun, learning experience for Sullivan County kids.

With that in mind, join CCE Sullivan in celebrating the hard work and dedication of 4-H youth and volunteers!
