HONESDALE, PA — Two great traditions of music will share the stage on Monday, June 10th, at 7:30 PM. The Honesdale Harmonizers, our local barbershop chorus, and the Highland Handbells will be performing at the United Methodist Church on Church Street in Honesdale. Both groups are under the direction of conductor Tammy Ebert. The concert is being presented by the Wayne County Creative Arts Council as the kickoff event in the 2024 Summer Festival of Events.

The Honesdale Harmonizers, formerly known as the Northeasters Barbershop Chorale, have been sharing their love of the close-knit harmonies of barbershop music in this area for decades now. Their trademark sincerity, charm, and humor never fail to provide a heartwarming experience for listeners of all ages.

The Highland Handbells perform with several types of handbells, giving their arrangements of classic hymns and popular songs a broad dynamic and musical range, presented with impressive expression and precision.

There is no charge for this event, though a freewill donation will be collected. For more information, contact Project Director Mitzi Kielar at 570-785-3674, or visit www.honesdaleparkevents.org.
