To the editor:
People who eat foie gras are doing so at the expense of the lives of ducks; people who eat meat are doing so at the expense of the lives of cows, pigs, chickens, fish and deer.
I’m sure you’ve heard of the following expression: Put Yourself in Someone Else’s Shoes.
How would you feel if what is done to these poor ducks against their will was done to you? How would you feel if you were forced to spend your entire life in a cage or tied in a stall knowing that you are eventually going to be slaughtered? How would you feel being chased through the woods by people who want to kill you?
All animals have the right to live.

How would you feel if you were a bean sprout, just starting out in life, torn from your habitat by some voracious vegetarian?

nice, you try to mix humans on the level of food.
Do you really think any animal knows it going to slaughter? I don't.
I know animals, most of them, were put on the planet as food and some as companions.
Very hard for people to run in the woods, did you say Police chasing after you?
