BETHEL - James Taylor and his All Star Band opened the 2023 Bethel Woods concert season to a full crowd on a hazy Thursday night. Taylor and band started the season off right with the crowd singing along to every word while performing popular hits like “Carolina in My Mind”, “Up on the Roof”, “Mexico”, and some lesser known numbers like “Mona” - a song dedicated to his pet pig. 

Taylor ended the night’s performance with a touching encore number, “You Can Close Your Eyes” performed by James and his son Henry Taylor.
