LOCH SHELDRAKE – Last week, the SUNY Sullivan Foundation announced that it has received a $5,000 grant from Jeff Bank, through the Federal Home Loan Bank of New York (FHLBNY) to support working capital expenses.

“The Foundation is grateful to have Jeff Bank’s support,” Foundation Chair Jose Herrera said.

Herrera said that the funds will help to enhance the Foundation’s efforts to receive private support for SUNY Sullivan programs in the future.

“Jeff Bank is pleased to participate in the FHLBNY’s 2024 Small Business Recovery Grant (SBRG) Program,” said Jeff Bank President and CEO George Kinne.

Kinne said that many worthy local businesses and non-profits have benefited from grant funding distribution that was obtained through the program.

“We’re pleased to be able to support the SUNY Sullivan Foundation which assists many students and families with scholarships to attend SUNY Sullivan,” Kinne concluded.

According to Assistant Director of Communications of SUNY Sullivan, Kenneth Luck, this funding will enhance the work of the Foundation as it continues its mission of supporting SUNY Sullivan’s educational programs and initiatives.

The Foundation is committed to enhancing educational opportunities through scholarships, program funding and strategic initiatives that prepare students for success.

“We are grateful for our longtime community partner, Jeff Bank, and past Foundation Board member George Kinne,” said SUNY Sullivan President Dr. David Potash. “This grant is deeply appreciated. Jeff Bank and George Kinne are tremendous supporters of SUNY Sullivan and many other nonprofits of our community.”
