The Summer seems to be leaving us with much cooler nights! The Diehl Farm Market is ready for the Fall offering mums, cider, beef, pork, chicken, ( stock up your freezer for  a hard Winter) and a range of vegetables and fruits. They also have Ri’s ice cream, Corey’s pickles, and Calkin’s cheese. They are open any day of the week! Support all the Farmers Markets and support family farms!

Plan on going to the 95th Annual S.C.V.F.A. Parade being sponsored by the Livingston Manor Fire Department this  Saturday the 7th! The parade steps off at 2 p.m. Come out and support all your volunteer firefighters! 

The Ancient Order of Hibernians is holding their golf fundraiser this Sunday, the 8th with a 1 p.m. Shotgun Start (Noon registration) at the Roscoe Mountain Club. If you cannot be there, please consider a hole sponsor in your family name or your business.

John Conway debuts a new Lecture “Farming in Sullivan County: The Early Years” at the Jeffersonville branch of the Western Sullivan Public Library on Tuesday, September 10th at 6:30 p.m. 

Please register as space is limited. Email wsplprograms@rcls.org to register and for any questions. Also, “Drop in with Public Health” on Thursday, September 19th at the Jeffersonville branch from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Stop in to talk to a representative from SC Public Health and pick up a brochure about programs available including tick kits, hand sanitizers, and much more. 

They also offer on-the-spot trainings to become certified in administering Narcan.

The Jeff Jamboree is almost here! Come to Jeffersonville Saturday, September 14th and experience an action-packed day! 

Besides the delicious Pancake Breakfast at the 1st Presbyterian Church, the Annual Tractor Parade and Annual Duck Race much more is planned! 

The Catskill Outdoorsman will have an archery range and axe throwing station and a watermelon eating contest! BJ Hendrickson will perform live music on the deck, and you can quench your thirst at the beer tent while you enjoy some delicious food. 

Free horse wagon rides and the  Little Sparrow group are returning to play their beautiful live music by the Firehouse. Currently around 60 vendors and flea market participants offering many handmade/homemade items and lots of other treasures!

Save the Date: The Youngsville Fire Department is hosting their 1st Annual Chicken BBQ on Saturday, November 2nd from 4 p.m. until sold out. Take out only at the firehouse (located at 1822 Shandelee Road, Youngsville) with dinners $15 each. Come out and support your volunteers and enjoy a delicious dinner too! School is open! Please be aware of the buses and children!
