MONTICELLO — The Lady Panthers were clicking on all cylinders Wednesday night as they took on the Lady Yellowjackets at home. Senior forward Amiah Neails made her presence known on both sides of the court for Monticello as she netted a game-high 19 points in a 41-19 non-league win.

Monticello jumped out to an early 14-8 lead by the end of the first quarter, with Neails scoring 10 of her points in the early frame.

Neails added another nine in the second quarter as Monticello increased their lead to 13, leading 25-12 at the break.

The Monticello defense made adjustments in the third quarter as they outscored Eldred 7-2 in the third and 7-5 in the fourth to get to the 41-19 final.

Aside from Neails, Monticello scoring was led by Christina Chakar with six points, Isabella Velasquez with five and Morgan Hutchins with four points.

Eldred was led by Olivia Gonzalez, who was a key rebounder in the contest, cleaning up the boards on both sides of the floor and netting eight points in the process. Reagan Kizer and Rayanna Quintana tallied five and three points respectively.
