TOWN OF TUSTEN

PUBLIC NOTICE OF ADOPTION OF LOCAL LAW

SUBJECT TO PERMISSIVE REFERENDUM

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Town Board of the Town of Tusten, in the County of Sullivan, State of New York, on November 9, 2021, duly enacted Local Law No. 2 of the Year 2021, entitled "A local law adopted pursuant to Cannabis Law Section 131 opting out of licensing and establishing retail cannabis dispensaries within the Town of Tusten, Sullivan County, New York," and entered it in its minutes.

The aforesaid local law exercises the local option of the Town of Tusten, Sullivan County, New York, pursuant to New York State Cannabis Law Section 131, to opt-out of licensing and establishing cannabis retail dispensaries within its boundaries.

The aforesaid local law was adopted subject to permissive referendum.

The aforesaid local law shall take effect 45 days after its adoption unless within that time a petition is filed with the Town Clerk of the Town of Tusten requesting that the resolution be submitted to the qualified electors of the Town for their approval or disapproval in accordance with Section 24(1)(a) of the Municipal Home Rule Law of the State of New York.
