LIBERTY  — Celebrations of the nation’s birthday invited hundreds of visitors to Main Street in Liberty on the Fourth for street vendors, a car show and a parade. 

The day was put on in part by Liberty Rising and the Sullivan County Chamber of Commerce. As the sun went down, fireworks finished up the festivities.

Liberty Town Supervisor Frank DeMayo noted it was a great day for celebrating the holiday, and thanked Congressman Marc Molinaro as one of many who made an appearance to celebrate the Fourth.
