Nancy D. Smith of Jeffersonville, NY died peacefully with family by her side on Sunday, January 12, 2025. She was 86.

The daughter of the late Cordyn and Alma Trojan Durney, she was born September 2, 1938 in Batavia, NY.

Nancy had been a longtime baker of Menges Lakeside. She also worked at the Huff House and Tennanah Lake Golf Course as a baker and cook. She graduated from LeRoy Central School and attended Delhi Agricultural camp; Technical College; there she met her husband, Harold L. Smith.

Survivors include her children, Kim Bouton (Gene) of Livingston Manor, NY, Dawn Roser (John) of Youngsville, NY, Laura McAndrew (Ed) of Jeffersonville, NY, Hal Smith (Jean) of Jeffersonville, NY, Valerie Menges (Chris) of Kutztown, PA and Keith Smith (Allyson) of Shandelee, NY; 16 grandchildren, Jessica Sansevera (John), Julia McCarthy (Brian), Lyle Roser (Linda), Matthew Roser (Tara), Eddie McAndrew, Kristen McAndrew, Timothy Kautz (Christina), James Kautz (Amanda), Robert Kautz (Machenka), Harold Smith III (Nancy), Kaitlyn Smith-Conklin (Jon), Courtney Hill (Darren), Hunter Menges (Rachel), Stephanie Smith (Cameron), Cassidy Possemato (Anthony), Heather Lewis (Joe) and 22 great-grandchildren; her sisters, Barbara Scott of LeRoy, NY, Patricia Manfreda of Canandaigua, NY, and Judy Perkins of Brockport, NY; and her brother, Thomas Durney (Jean) of Spencerport, NY. She is predeceased by her husband, Harold L. Smith.

Funeral services will be private. Graveside services and burial will be at the Green Hill Cemetery, Youngsville, NY.
