PUD moratorium in Liberty extended until October

LIBERTY — The moratorium on Planned Unit Developments (PUD) was extended for the second time, giving the town until October 3 of this year to either extend the freeze once more for a third and final time, or implement a local law focused on addressing the town’s concerns.

At the board’s meeting on June 17, town officials were poised to introduce a local law, dubbed number 4 of 2024, but the resolution was tabled and expected to resurface at their next meeting. Supervisor Frank DeMayo said this was because the town is “still working on the language” of the legislation.
