In response to “What Am I Missing” 6/24/24. It is simple, we are picking The President of the United States, not a 7th grade class president. This is not a popularity contest, it’s about picking a leader. Your letter does not mention any policy that you feel is good or bad, just personality flaws. Leadership requires tough decisions that many will not agree with, but must be made.

We are not picking someone to have dinner or a beer with, so you don’t have to like him. So, if you like this country where it is, then by all means vote for the status quo. But many people fear the direction of the country and want a change.

What you may be missing is that people want a foreign policy that keeps the U. S. out of wars, supports our friends and confronts our enemies. People want a domestic policy that creates a good economy for all and protects our citizens with a border policy that makes sense. My suggestion to everyone who does not like the choices for president, consider a write in vote, maybe for R.F. K. Jr., BUT vote on policy not personality.
