Rikheil Birenkumar Patel, a Production Assistant & former Aviation Machinist for the United States Navy, and longtime resident of Bethel, New York, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 in Bethel. He was 31.

The son of Alpa Patel and the late Birenkumar Patel, he was born March 29th, 1990 in Newburgh, New York.

A graduate of Monticello High School and Vaughn College of Aeronautics and Technology, Riki was a free spirit and loved by friends and family. He touched the hearts of all those who crossed his path on this journey of life. He has imprinted wonderful memories in all our lives. The lake was his soul. Riki would want to be remembered as a “Celebration of Life”.

He is survived by his mother Alpa Patel, and brother Conal McCague; grandmother Chandrika Patel, Aunts Dipti Patel-Donnelly, Avantika Patel, Bhavna Patel, Minal Patel, and Anisha Keibel; uncles Kalpesh Patel, Michael Donnelly, and Zach Keibel; and also loved cousins, nieces and nephews from the Patel Family and McCague Family.

Visitation was held on Sunday, May 30, 2021 at the VanInwegen-Kenny Funeral Home, 401 Broadway in Monticello. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to The Patel Family.
