Seventy-one students inducted into National Technical Honor Society

LIBERTY — The Career and Technical Education Center at Sullivan BOCES proudly inducted seventy-one students into the National Vocational Technical Honor Society (NTHS). Induction into the National Technical Honor Society stands as a significant achievement for any Career and Technical Education student.

The evening commenced with Jeffrey Molusky, Executive Principal of the Career & Tech Center at Sullivan BOCES, extending a warm welcome to attendees and acknowledging the remarkable accomplishments of these outstanding Career and Technical Education students. Each student has demonstrated remarkable effort and aptitude in their chosen trade.

During the ceremony, students Jillian Carlson from Livingston Manor CSD, Sarah Gorr from Roscoe CSD, Rachel Yusko from Sullivan West CSD, Ralph Cherubino from Livingston Manor CSD, Nicholas Foley from Tri-Valley CSD, and Sanna Woytowick from Monticello CSD elaborated on the significance of the NTHS and its components, including its purpose, colors, emblem, insignia, and slogan.

Debra Heidt Dunwell, one of the Chapter Advisors, also highlighted the benefits of the National Technical Honor Society, emphasizing its seven pillars: leadership, scholarship, skills, honesty, citizenship, service, and responsibility, which aid students in becoming positive role models and honing leadership skills.

Jeffrey Molusky, Executive Principal of Career & Technical Education and NTHS Advisor, concluded the ceremony by congratulating the inductees on their hard work and their installation into the National Technical Honor Society. “This is an honor that you will carry with you throughout your education and career,” remarked Molusky, encapsulating the significance of the achievement.”
