To the editor:
Now that phase one for the selection of the next Assembly person for the 100 District is over, hopefully focus can now be placed on the needs, concerns, and issues of the voters.
Phase one became somewhat of a sign contest with the winning candidate being very prepared and proactive which his challenger never got started in this area.
Hopefully both candidates will spend their energy on meeting residents, finding their needs and issues, and developing and articulating respective strategies to effectively address these concerns and issues.
What the district doesn’t need is a continuation of “window dressing” and photo ops.
Unfortunately this district is demographically different making this task difficult, but that is what elective office and public service is about - making a difference and making it better.
