Returning for a fourth year of live music, guided meditation, food and drink and fireworks is Shinrinyoku – held at Momoglobal Flowers Farm on Swiss Hill Rd. in Jeffersonville on September 7 from 3:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Shinrinyoku is a Japanese term that can be translated to “forest bathing”– a practice which aims to engage all the human senses and allow a disconnect from daily pressures.

The host, Kaya Magee, is a Japanese-American woman, who purchased the 20 acres after visiting Livingston Manor and falling in love with the area.

“There will be a lot of activities related to Japanese art, like flowers arrangement workshops, Macha green tea servicing, folding Japanese paper to make chopstick holders and Japanese calligraphy, learning how to write your name on Japanese hard paper,” Magee said.

Musicians for the event include: songstress Monday Michiru, jazz pianist Misha Tsiganov, bassist Boris Kozlov, drummer Donald Edwards, electronic musician/ producer Midi Neutron (Rikutaro Suzuki) and Hand Pan musician Andrew Petrulis.

Food and drink vendors include: Korean food truck Bibimbus, Forthright Cidery, organic cotton candy,  Filipino food, Japanese food and more.

Fireworks will sound the triumphant end to the event, which will take place at 9 p.m.
