SULLIVAN WEST- Sullivan West hosted Burke and Tuxedo last Tuesday for a cross country track meet. Sadly for Sullivan West they just barely lost the top spot to Burke’s Stathun Piper with a time of 19:05. The Bulldogs’ Bryce Bressler finished second with a time of 19:08. 

The runners flew across Sullivan West’s beautiful forest track under favorable weather conditions. It was a gorgeous and cool day that was perfect for a 3 mile run. 

Sullivan West fielded both a JV girls and both JV and varsity boys teams with mixed results. The JV girls took home the win but the boys teams both lost to Tuxedo by a small margin. 

I spoke with Coach Sean Reuss of the host team after the meet. He’s been coaching  cross country here at Sullivan West for 3 years and he said “This is a young team but they’ve got a lot of heart and they’re improving every week.”

Sullivan West is now looking forward to their next home field meet on  Thursday, October 17th. They’ll be hosting the Fallsburg Comets and it’s sure to be a good meet.
