WARWICK —This weekend will mark the end of the fall season for many of the runners that have raced all over Sullivan County and beyond. After last weekend’s OCIAA Championship races, the entirety of Section 9 will be descending upon Sanfordville Elementary School in Warwick tomorrow for the chance to run at the State Championship.

Tri-Valley’s Van Furman finished at the top of the merged race last weekend, beating the second place runner by 23 seconds. Anna Furman won the girls OCIAA race by 22 seconds.

As a team, the Tri-Valley Boys finished 5th, with Monticello (12th), Fallsburg (16th) and Sullivan West (17th) also placing in the race. Eldred, Livingston Manor and Liberty competed but did not have enough runners to qualify for a team score.

For the girls, Tri-Valley finished 10th overall, with Monticello (12th) and Fallsburg (14th) scoring as a team as well.
