HONESDALE, PA — On Thursday, June 27th the Wayne County Creative Arts Council will once again welcome the  popular, Luongo Brothers Band to Honesdale’s Central Park.  The concert will begin at 7:30pm.

Brothers Nick and Pat Luongo have played professionally since they were 14 and 10 years old, respectively. They were founding members of the popular local band, The Poets. They formed the Luongo Brothers Band in November 2013, along with another Poets member, Alan Shields and Rich Marmo.  Their repertoire features classic rock’n’roll, from The Beatles and Credence Clearwater Revival to the Doobie Brothers, ZZ Top, and Bruce Springsteen.  In addition, they have performed with many greats such as the Four Seasons, Ike and Tina Turner and Frankie Valli. Pat Luongo chronicled their musical journey in the Book We Were Almost Famous.

Attendees should bring chairs or blankets for seating. Refreshments will be available for purchase. There is no charge for this event, though a freewill donation will be collected. For more information, contact Project Director Mitzi Kielar at 570-785-3674, or visit www.honesdaleparkevents.org. The Facebook page is Wayne Co. Creative Arts Council.

In case of inclement weather, the rain location will be announced on local radio stations 95.3 and 105.5 as well as on the webpage and on Facebook.
